I love the way your hair turns grey. You think you look old. I think you look handsome….and more and more Scottish…even though you’re Irish.

I love the way your face mimics the actors on the screen and how involved you get in their fake lives. It’s why we can’t dare make a sound when you’re watching a show.

I love the way you turn your head slightly so we won’t see you cry at the sad parts. We all know anyway. It’s what you always do. You aren’t like most men.

I love the way you put on your comfy pants when you come home. In for the night. When you get your comfies on. We don’t ask you to go get milk.

I love the way you love your boys. Fiercely and full. I am almost certain no one on earth loves their boys like you do. You grew up with no brothers and love that your boys have each other. They have no idea how lucky they are to have you as a Dad.

I love that you do a million things that no one ever sees. On stage. On set. On screen. But you do. A million little things that never gets noticed or thanked. You don’t come home until it’s done. Many would just do enough. Not more. Not you.

I love that when you laugh, which is rare. You laugh big and loud. All who are in the room laugh too, even if we don’t know what’s funny. It’s just the fact that you are laughing. I wish you would laugh more.

I love that you call me babe. I never knew anyone would ever do that. You’re the only one who does…who ever did. And I love it. Please don’t stop.

I love the way your nose is. I’ve always loved your nose. It completes your side profile. So nicely. If anyone asked…I’d say it was perfect.

I love your shoulders. Wide and encompassing. Bringing strength with you where ever you go. Carrying safety home.

I love that you can say sorry. A lot can’t. Though it may take you awhile, you say it…and mean it.

I love that you’re one of the good guys.

I love all this…and more. Forever.

An actress, playwright and oh…I preach every now and then too. But cleaning other people’s toilets pays the bills…and all this gives me much to say. :)
